謹以新任當選的身分，深感榮幸並承擔起國際外科醫師學會主席的責任。身為世界理事會的一員，我與所有會員一同秉持Max Thorek博士的創立理念。

 

回顧國際外科醫師學會超過70年的歷史，見證這個機構在全球建立起友誼的橋樑，跨越種族、宗教和信仰的界限。在100多個國家擁有的會員中，超過85%位於美國以外，形成了包括ICS非洲聯邦、亞洲聯邦、歐洲聯邦、拉丁美洲聯邦、北美洲聯邦和太平洋聯邦在內的多元而廣泛的聯合體。

 

這是一個充滿挑戰與機會的時代，大數據、網路、機器人、AIoT, AR/VR和AI蓬勃發展，內視鏡手術、達文西手術技術、再生醫療和細胞治療正逐漸變得重要而可行，我將致力於促進外科領域的卓越發展，秉持著學會的創始理念和精神，在全球外科領域持續發揮重要的作用。過去的歷史中，學會在前輩們的努力下取得了卓越的成就，包括在國內外義診活動上的積極參與。

 

我將繼續這項傳統，鼓勵會員踴躍參與社會服務，透過義診活動深入了解各地區的醫療需求。外科是疾病治療的極致，我們也將協同院士們的專業，積極來和社會溝通，深耕衛生教育，並且提升我們的臨床實踐水平。作為主席，我承諾將推動學會與全球外科專業人士更緊密的合作，促進知識交流和技術分享，以實現外科藝術和科學的共同進步。

 

我們將堅守學會的中立立場，繼續與世界衛生組織保持緊密聯繫，以積極的態度參與全球健康事務。在這充滿挑戰和機遇的新時代，讓我們攜手努力，使國際外科醫師學會成為全球外科合作的引領者，為患者的福祉和全球健康作出更大的貢獻。感謝大家的信任與支持，我將竭盡所能履行這一榮耀而負重的職責。

As the newly elected chairperson, I am deeply honored and committed to assuming the responsibility of the International Surgical Society. As a member of the World Council, I, along with all members, uphold the founding principles of Dr. Max Thorek.
Reflecting on the International Surgical Society's history of over 70 years, it's evident how this institution has become a bridge of friendship worldwide, transcending racial, religious, and belief boundaries. With over 85% of its members located outside the United States across more than 100 countries, the society has formed a diverse and extensive coalition, including federations such as ICS Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, North America, and the Pacific.
This is a time filled with challenges and opportunities. Big data, the internet, robotics, AIoT, AR/VR, and AI are thriving. Endoscopic surgery, da Vinci surgical techniques, regenerative medicine, and cell therapy are becoming increasingly important and feasible. I am dedicated to fostering excellence in the field of surgery, adhering to the founding principles and spirit of the society, and continuing to play a significant role in the global surgical community. The society has achieved remarkable success in the past, including active participation in domestic and international medical missions under the efforts of our predecessors.
I will continue this tradition by encouraging members to actively participate in social services, gaining a deeper understanding of medical needs in various regions through medical missions. Surgery represents the pinnacle of disease treatment, and we will collaborate with academicians to engage actively with society, deepen health education efforts, and enhance our clinical practice levels. As chairperson, I commit to promoting closer collaboration between the society and global surgical professionals, fostering knowledge exchange and technology sharing to achieve collective progress in the art and science of surgery.
I pledge to uphold the society's neutral position and continue maintaining close ties with the World Health Organization, actively participating in global health affairs. In this era full of challenges and opportunities, let's work hand in hand to make the International Surgical Society a leader in global surgical cooperation, contributing more significantly to patient welfare and global health. I am grateful for the trust and support received and commit to fulfilling this honorable and weighty responsibility to the best of my abilities.
